VARICEL FILTERS
VariCel filters are rigid, self supporting filters with dual density media. VariCels are available in three efficiencies MERV 14, MERV 13, and MERV 11. VariCels are available in 6" or 12" depths. Also offered with antimicrobial in 90-95% and 60-65% efficiency.
A unique flanged header on the air entering side allows the filter to be easily inserted and latched into front and side access systems.
VariCel media is made with pleated microglass paper bonded to corrugated aluminum separators. These separators maintain uniform pleat spacing for optimum airflow. The media is made with dual density construction consisting of coarser fibers on the air entering side and finer fibers on the air leaving side. This design allows dirt particles to be collected throughout depth of the filter utilizing the media’s full capacity and cleaning potential. A liner of microglass mat packing at the top and bottom of the media pack prevents damage and bypass leakage.
Additional options include expanded aluminized steel faceguards, factory-installed gaskets and vinyl coated separators for corrosive conditions.

VARICEL II FILTER
Designed for high performance under both normal and difficult operating conditions, VariCel II is appropriate for general HVAC and applications operating with variable air volume, turbulent airflow, and high humidity. The combination of durable construction and high efficiency also makes VariCel II ideal for specialized systems such as diffusion filters in paint booths and prefilters in cleanrooms.
VariCel II's slim line design provides minimum resistance with the high dust loading capacity of larger, traditional filters. The pleated media is made of microglass paper with a dual density fiber construction and water repellent binder. Two die cut boxes form a sealed, double wall around the perimeter of the filter. Media pack support retainers and adhesive pleat separators are bonded and applied to the pleats. Together, these form a unitized, rigid media pack that maintains pleat spacing and a maximum, even distribution of airflow.
The thinner depth and fiber board frame make handling, storage, and installation the easiest of any high efficiency filter. Disposal is also simplified from the absence of metal components.

VARICEL II M FILTER
VariCel II M filters are designed for service in HVAC systems with difficult operating conditions, such as variable air volume, turbulent air flow, repeated fan shutdown, or high humidity. Metal construction improves performance while contributing to superior moisture resistance.
The slim-line design of the VariCel II M provides minimum resistance and maximum dust loading capacity, while lowering operating costs. The pleated media is made of microglass paper with a dual density fiber construction and water repellent binder. Rows of adhesive beads are applied to the media to maintain even pleat spacing and provide maximum airflow. The consistent pleat spacing of the media allows higher dust holding capacity and full use of the entire depth of the media. An aluminized steel, expanded metal faceguard is added to the air leaving side of the filter.
Equipped with a U-channel frame, VariCel II M filters can be installed in holding frames or side access housings with a 4" wide track.

VARICEL II MH FILTER
VariCel II MH filters are designed for service in HVAC systems with difficult operating conditions, such as variable air volume, turbulent air flow, repeated fan shutdown, or high humidity. Metal construction improves performance while contributing to superior moisture resistance.
The slim-line design of the VariCel II MH provides minimum resistance and maximum dust loading capacity, while lowering operating costs. A galvanized steel, expanded metal faceguard is added to the air leaving side of every filter. Faceguards on both sides are optional.
With its galvanized steel header, the VariCel II MH filter can be installed in holding frames or side access housings with a 13/16" wide track. The tracks may be of the stationary type, such as the AAF PolySeal, or with a removable locking mechanism to seal the filters, such as the AAF LeverLock.

VARICEL M-PAK FILTER
The VariCel M-Pak filter has the same media area and half the weight of a standard 12"-deep VariCel. The M-Pak delivers comparable efficiency, pressure drop, and overall performance, but in a much smaller, 6" package. Its space-saving design reduces freight, storage, and handling costs. M-Pak filters are designed for use in systems with difficult operating conditions, including variable air volume, turbulence, repeated fan shutdown, high humidity or intermittent exposure to water.
High-impact polystyrene cell sides enclose the fixed media pack, made of high-efficiency, moisture resistant fiberglass. The dual layered media is arranged in a progressive density pattern to maximize media utilization and dust holding capacity. Thermoplastic separators maintain uniform spacing between pleats to allow optimal airflow. The separators also ensure a large effective media area to minimize pressure drop and eliminate the need for aluminum separators. All components of the VariCel M-Pak are fully incinerable.
Gasketing and a reverse airflow model are available.
